Ukrainians are starting to hate their country, - Chief Mufti of Ukraine (VIDEO)

Kyiv, December 30 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ethnic Ukrainians are fighting with the Kyiv authorities and are beginning to hate their country.

This was stated during a round table in Kyiv by Said Ismailov, the mufti of the spiritual administration of Muslims of Ukraine “Ummah”, according to whom, the corresponding sentiments among Ukrainians are fueled by Russian television.

He emphasized that he himself lived in Donetsk and was forced to leave the city literally in September.

“I felt all the hostility that comes out of the information channels,” said Said Ismailov. – People who took control of certain territories of Donbass immediately turned off all Ukrainian TV channels. Now there are no Ukrainian channels or press at all, and there is a powerful flow of propaganda information that is really directed against Ukraine and inciting hostility.”

According to the mufti, a sign of inciting hostility is the fact that Ukrainians are going against Ukrainians.

“It is known that a large number of ethnic Ukrainians live in the Donbass,” the representative of the Muslim clergy continued. – And when these Ukrainians say that there are Bandera on that front line, then I say: “You are Ukrainian. Your mother and father are Ukrainians, they speak Ukrainian. And how did you draw the line that here we are, and there are terrible and evil strangers?” That is, the negative information flow leads to the fact that people, even those belonging to the same community, ethnic group and nationality, begin to perceive each other as hostile.”

Said Ismailov also expressed bewilderment that Kyiv cannot influence the shutdown of Russian channels in Donbass.

“While I was in Donetsk, I was always tormented by the question: why can’t Ukraine do anything to turn off or somehow influence these information channels showing you and me, Ukrainian society, in a very negative light,” complained the Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims Ukraine "Umma". “People seem to go crazy when they look at what Russian propaganda television shows. I’m telling you frankly: they are beginning to hate Ukraine, their, one might say, homeland, community.”
