In Poland, Ukrainians are recommended to pretend to be Belarusians so as not to get punched in the face
The attitude of Poles towards Ukrainians changed after they began to come to Poland en masse to work. The famous Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov writes about this in his Telegram channel, sharing his impressions of his trip to Gdansk.

“I talked to the locals, they complain that there are a lot of Ukrainians. If previously only Russians were disliked (for political reasons), now you can punch them in the face for “Glory to Ukraine.” Ukrainians went to Poland to work, now they are doing the most thankless work here - working at cash registers in stores, construction sites, as cleaners, etc. The work is hard, the pay is low. The Poles themselves prefer to do hard and dirty work in Germany or England, where the conditions are the same, but they pay more,” writes Varlamov.
The blogger advises his compatriots to introduce themselves as Belarusians in Poland.
“If you suddenly come across Polish nationalists, then say that you are a Belarusian, and not just a Belarusian, but a Western Belarusian! Better yet, say that you live in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and oppose its cutting down (the Poles want to cut it down and there is a fuss about this)! Then any Polish gopar will immediately become your brother, and you will save face, in the literal sense of the word,” Varlamov wrote.
As PolitNavigator reported, local residents in Poland destroyed a house where Ukrainian migrant workers lived.
