Ukraine has simplified the granting of citizenship to foreigners who fought against the LDPR
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law providing for a simplified procedure for granting Ukrainian citizenship to foreigners who participated in the punitive operation against the Donbass republics, as well as to fugitive Russian oppositionists.
The law was adopted without discussion by 285 votes in the second reading, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The document represents amendments to the law “On Citizenship of Ukraine” regarding the simplified acquisition of citizenship by foreigners and stateless persons “who took part in the defense of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.”
The law was the implementation of the decree of the President of Ukraine dated August 13, 2019 “The issue of simplifying the acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship by foreigners and stateless persons who took part in the implementation of measures to ensure the national security and defense of Ukraine, and by citizens of the Russian Federation who were persecuted for their political beliefs "
