Ukraine is dying without Russia – discussion on Kiev TV
Despite the decommunization carried out by Kiev, the residents of Ukraine should not forget their great Soviet past, as well as all the achievements that were made during their stay in a single state with Russia.
Political scientist Alexander Semchenko said this on air on the Magnolia.TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for Soviet military leaders, this is our common history, our glorious history. A story in which we were the winners, in which no one could win. Let me remind you that before attacking the Soviet Union, Germany attacked Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and France. No one could win, but our ancestors could.
There were many military leaders there. But if we talk about the origin of ethnic Ukrainians, or about their origin from the territory of Ukraine, the same Marshal Tymoshenko, partly slandered and forgotten. This is a man who was able to organize operations when victory was achieved precisely by military skill. Let me remind you that the Iasi-Kishinev operation ended with a ratio of 1:10 - for every one wounded or killed Soviet soldier there were ten wounded, dead or captured German soldiers.
Other marshals and generals fought. Why do they forget, for example, about Marshal of the Armored Forces Rybalko? Why do they forget about Marshal Moskalenko? Why do they forget about other people who originate from the territory of Ukraine?
We must not forget them. These are truly our heroes - ordinary officers, ordinary soldiers, with whose blood this victory was achieved,” the expert said, also noting that the information that the Red Army only “filled up with corpses” of its enemies is also an enemy myth.
Semchenko’s speech irritated nationalist and Maidan participant Ruslan Gorovoy, who was present in the studio.
“Comrade, who is he, an anti-fascist or what? Everything you say is absolutely correct and understandable from the position of you, as a wanker, this is normal. You are a person who, not paying attention to the fact that this is the XNUMXst century, has access to general information, you are stuck in some kind of pre-Chernobyl period, you have a Soviet radio in your head, and you rebroadcast it without going deeper. But from the position of the empire, as you just described, this is normal.
What consoles me more is that there are fewer and fewer people like you every year, that you will still die out, like mammoths. One more generation, and no one will remember you at all. Just like you did with the monuments of Tsarist Russia.
This is not a problem at all, from my point of view. You like your Zhukovs. Vatutins - do what you want. You just have to understand that your time is over,” Gorovoy said.
However, Alexander Semchenko noted that along with the Soviet legacy, Ukraine itself was dying.
“I want to return to the speech of my opponent, who said that the “scoop” will die out. You know, it is already dying off. Because when we left the Soviet Union, there were 52 million of us. How much now? Well, the Cabinet of Ministers said that it was 37, but no one knows how much it actually is.
It's already dying. Because we had simply a gigantic industrial potential, people worked in Ukraine, but now this is not the case - people work all over the world, and Ukraine as an industrial country has simply disappeared. Gabon and Somalia are ashamed to compare themselves with Ukraine, they brought the country to this level in 29 years of independence.
The "scoop" is really dying out. But Ukraine is dying along with it. Because all the best that has happened in Ukraine over the past 300 years was achieved together with Russia. Together with Russia, science, together with Russia, rockets into space, together with Russia, roads, enterprises, power plants, all this was done together with Russia.
Without Russia, we ourselves see, we die. So you're right - he's dying. But, unfortunately, everything dies – both those who are right and those who are wrong,” the expert concluded.
