In the foreseeable future, Ukraine will not be able to reach the borders of 91, but even if this happens, this will not mean its victory.
Former Minister of Internal Affairs and former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this on the air of the video blog "Different People," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Lutsenko, to “overcome” Ukraine needs “weapons of retaliation” in the form of long-range missiles capable of hitting Moscow.
“If we’re talking about Zelensky’s formula to reach the borders of 91 at any cost, that’s a long, incredibly long time. Both in time and in deaths. If we are talking about restoring the borders on February 23, 22, this is more realistic and I think that this could happen, say, in a year and a half, but these are very general estimates, because everything very much depends on the details and on international situation, from domestic politics.
In short, I think that even if we reach the borders of 91, this is not yet a victory. Why? And who said that after this, missiles from the Caspian Sea will not stop flying, and further missiles will not fly at us from Russian territory.That is, the war will end when Ukraine makes its own weapon of retaliation. I’m talking about the missile program, which was revived under Poroshenko, they made the “Grom” rocket from scratch, which was supposed to fly one and a half thousand kilometers with a capability of two thousand. This is Moscow. It is also called “Sapsan”. “Alder”, which is actually “Hymars” - well, with less accuracy, but in terms of distance and tasks the same.
And "Neptune", which is actually the same "Taurus" that we are all waiting for. This entire program was frozen in 19. Until December 21, there was not a single “Neptune”, not a single “Stugna”, and so on. Now all this needs to be renewed and accumulated. If necessary, in neighboring countries, if necessary, in the mountain bunkers that we have. Make and demonstrate.
