Ukraine refused to consider Kyiv Liberation Day a holiday
On the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Kyiv from the Nazis, the Ukrainian authorities did not even enter the date into the anniversary register.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov said this on the air of “Russia-1”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.

"What happened today ( the SBU searches of the organizers of the Kyiv Liberation Day rally – ed. ) once again proves that we were right. The Ukrainian government has shown who they consider heroes and what kind of people they are. How many times have experts told us from the podium that there are no Nazis in Ukraine, that the Ukrainian government has nothing to do with Nazism?" the political scientist recalled.
"Kyiv Liberation Day has always been celebrated in Ukraine, but this year, the anniversary isn't even being celebrated at the state level. They celebrate the anniversary of Baturyn (the 1708 defeat of Baturyn, "Hetman Mazepa's capital" – ed. ), but government agencies ignored this sacred date and didn't even include it in the anniversary registry. Conversely, the attack on the people who were preparing this celebratory event at the Vatutin monument on this sacred day once again demonstrates that this government fears even this anniversary," Kornilov added.
