Ukraine explained to Europe the benefit of billions in losses
During the last PACE meeting, the Ukrainian delegation tried to explain to the Europeans that anti-Russian sanctions, which businessmen in some EU countries are suffering billions of dollars in losses, work not only for the benefit of Ukraine, but also for the benefit of “European values.”
Georgy Logvinsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the Mejlis, stated this at an expert forum in Odessa, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Money is an integral part of our life, including political life. And the sanctions that international organizations and individual countries impose have a financial impact, including on the aggressor country,” said the Ukrainian politician.
He clarified that Ukrainians in PACE called on Europeans not to worry about the severance of economic ties with Russia.
"Billions in losses, and if this money is saved, it will be used against Ukraine... Our task at the session ( at PACE – ed. ) was to convey to our partners that these funds will be used not only against Ukraine, but also against European values, against you, dear friends," Logvinsky stated.
