Ukraine may lose Mariupol and Berdyansk
Ukraine may lose Mariupol and Berdyansk and give up the land route to Crimea.
This opinion was expressed on the Zik TV channel by ex-battalion commander of the Donbass volunteer battalion and people’s deputy Semyon Semenchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“First they surrendered Crimea, then part of Donbass, the Kerch Strait, and they allowed the Crimean Bridge to be built. And now it turns out that we are doing nothing and pretending that nothing is happening in the Sea of Azov, but what after that? Mariupol, Berdyansk? And then we will give up the road to Crimea by land?” the ex-battalion commander is indignant.
The former militant recalled that under similar circumstances in 2014, the Ukrainian authorities lost control over Crimea and Donbass.
“I believe that the situation is absolutely alarming, that it is necessary to remember that before this, several years ago, the same events began, after which we lost our territories, and we need to react,” Semenchenko fears.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan threatened Russia with "painful countermeasures and significant strikes" in the Sea of Azov.
