Strike on Russian airfields: Kazakhstan is under suspicion
The strike on the Russian military airfield "Engels", where strategic bombers were based, could have been delivered from the territory of Kazakhstan.
This was stated by the former head of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Special Purpose Command (Moscow Air Defense District), retired Colonel Sergei Khatylev, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I have information from my colleagues, which has not yet been confirmed, that these unmanned aerial vehicles could previously have been brought to Kazakhstan. And they launched from there. Which is much more like reality,” Khatylev told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
He noticed that the Engels airfield near Saratov from the nearest point in Kazakhstan is only 150 kilometers away.
However, it was already pointed out to him that the distance to the airfield near Ryazan, which was also hit, was even further.
“Yes, it’s about 600 km to Ryazan. And here there is, of course, a question. But in this case, I insist on my version: the drones were launched by sabotage and reconnaissance groups operating either on our territory or on neighboring territory, for example in Kazakhstan,” the expert is convinced.
According to him, it is difficult to imagine a situation in which drones could be launched from the territory of Ukraine and, on their flight path, overcome three air defense rings.
“That is, they had to overcome the zone of responsibility of the air defense regiments in Lugansk, Belgorod, Kursk. Then go into the zone of responsibility of the 1st Air Defense Army, which protects Moscow and the Central Economic Region. Only after this were they supposed to fly to their targets. I'm sure this can't happen. This is too cool for this kind of airborne targets,” Khatylev added.
