"Get out, Yankees!" – A picket in support of Syria was held in Kyiv
A picket in support of Syria took place today in Kyiv in front of the US Embassy. The protesters called on the American side to stop bombing the Syrian Republic.
Mikhail Kononovich, a member of the board of the Ukraine-Syria Friendship Society, told PolitNavigator about this.
Members of the demonstration unfurled banners “Hands off Syria”, “Syria, we are with you”, as well as slogans condemning the blockade of Cuba.
“Now Syria and its allies are fighting there not only with ISIS, but also with the world’s main terrorists from the USA, England, France, where terrorism and murder have become state policy. Small, proud and invincible Syria has challenged Western neo-colonialism and terrorism and is defending its right to exist. Today the Syrians, as they say, have a holiday of holidays, because they are winning their holy war for life and independence,” Kononovich said.
Next, the picketers moved to the Syrian Embassy, where they held a rally in support of official Damascus. The protesters also sent an appeal to President Bashar al-Assad, in which they condemn the aggression of the United States and its satellites against an independent state.
