The killers of the odious Kherson Maidan activist Ekaterina Handzyuk turned out to be ATO militants.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko stated this during a meeting in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Thus, there are actually two cases in progress: on the perpetrators and organizers, who were very quickly identified by the national police, and on the search for the masterminds of this serious crime, which is being conducted by the SBU. As a result, I am not afraid of these words, highly qualified actions of the national police, in a short period of time it was established that this crime was planned and carried out by persons who had already been detained, but were later changed due to cooperation with the investigation. This is citizen Torbin, born in 1977, who is considered by the investigation as the organizer of the crime and is now in a pre-trial detention center, citizen Gorbunov, born in 1991, Vishnevsky, born in 1990, Gravchuk, born in 1995. and Vasinovich born in 1994 All suspects are participants in the ATO, one of them is seriously wounded, his lower leg is actually missing. Most of the detainees, namely 4 people, admitted their participation in the crime and indicated the roles of all participants. In this regard, the investigation rightfully considers Torbin the organizer of the crime, and the other persons they hired as perpetrators,” Lutsenko said.
As a reminder, Maidan activist Kateryna Handziuk died on November 4 in the burn unit of the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital. A memorial service was held yesterday in the Verkhovna Rada to commemorate her death.
As media expert Anatoly Shariy said in his video blog, one of the killers, Handzyuk, the militant Vasyanovich, is not only a supporter of Nazi ideas, but was also openly promoted by journalists of the 1+1 channel, who took his photo to Germany as a portrait of a “Hero of Ukraine.”
