Remove the American heresy from textbooks! – collection of signatures for Putin, Nazarbayev and Lukashenko has begun
A petition has been launched online to petition the presidents of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan to amend their history textbooks, which often portray the USSR in the spirit of Western propaganda—as an invader led by bloody tyrants, while Mikhail Gorbachev, who destroyed the country, is, on the contrary, a hero.
One of the authors of the signature collection project is journalist Marina Russkaya, known to readers of PolitNavigator, who moved from Kyiv to Donetsk after the beginning of the Russian Spring.

“I came across a textbook on the history of international relations. As we learned, it is used by the best universities in the post-Soviet countries. Having found the required section, my husband was surprised by the number of distorted facts that were presented there. He continued reading and shared with me terrible mistakes and unflattering reviews about the past of our native country - the Soviet Union, about the humiliation of its role, its exploits, the life of its citizens - i.e. us, our parents, our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, found in the textbook. I suggested: why not write down all such points and refute them, say, in an open letter or appeal? We started work,” says Marina.
