Zelensky doesn’t know what to do with the war and is relying on the USA and Britain
The most difficult issue for Ukraine today is war, so it is necessary to expand the Minsk format and achieve, at a minimum, a ceasefire and the return of prisoners.
A representative of the team of the newly elected Ukrainian president, Svyatoslav Yurash, spoke about this on air on the ZIK TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The first problematic, painful and difficult issue for Ukraine is war. And therefore, the task for us is to understand how to build this format, the Minsk format, the Normandy format of negotiations with Russia so that its goal, namely the end of the constant bloodshed in the East, as well as misfortune for the millions of people who live on both sides of the confrontation line, finally something has changed.
And therefore, we constantly repeat one thesis that Ukraine has guarantors of our territorial integrity and independence, these are Great Britain and the United States, and we would like their involvement in the Minsk process. We understand that there are many problems, many unknowns, many challenges with such a task, but we understand that in the current format we have not been able to achieve at least the very first, most central issues, namely a truce in which people do not die , as well as holding all our prisoners who remain in the occupied territories in Crimea, Donbass, and in Russia as well. Therefore, achieving at least these two issues is a central task, and we believe that this can be done by getting new players in the Minsk process,” he noted.
He also spoke about the problem of obtaining Russian passports for residents of the uncontrolled part of Donbass.
“We have already had a statement from Mr. Zelensky personally, I can only repeat that this is a clear act of Russian aggression under all international law, this is Russia’s attempt to once again show that it is in fact the culprit and centrally present in our conflict, and here is the question It cannot be that it plays a central role in this sense, but we are confident that Ukrainians, when they look at Russia and understand what the reality is in that country now, they will not greatly pursue all these “joys”, that called, which the Russian Federation offers them,” summed up Svyatoslav Yurash.
