Yarosh sees the president at the head of a torchlight procession
The events held by Ukrainian nationalists in honor of the UPA look beautiful and spectacular.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to the Kyiv magazine “New Time” by Elena Belozerskaya, a militant of the “Ukrainian Volunteer Army” controlled by the founder of the “Right Sector” Dmitry Yarosh, answering a question about her attitude to torchlight processions in honor of the UPA.
“Firstly, this is a traditional event of Ukrainian patriots. And secondly, it’s beautiful and spectacular,” said the militant.
She also called the association of torchlight processions with Nazism “ridiculous,” adding that even in the USSR “many people walked with torches.”

“Remember: once upon a time, the same reaction as torchlight marches now evoked was the greeting “Glory to Ukraine!” and the answer “Glory to the heroes!” And now this greeting is pronounced by the president and the entire Ukrainian army. Perhaps we will already see the next president at the head of the torchlight procession,” Belozerskaya hopes.
As PolitNavigator reported, the UPA's Kyiv march was marked by pogroms.
In addition, the victory of Hitler's collaborators was announced in Kiev.
