Poroshenko admitted that they do not give up forceful methods on the territory of Donbass
With the new law on Donbass, Kyiv plans to legitimize a long-term punitive operation, because the “ATO” format, as the operation in Donbass is now called, is limited in time. At the same time, the new law will provide for military actions, but under a different sauce.

Representative of the President of Ukraine in Parliament Irina Lutsenko stated this on air on the Rada TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to her, a special expanded headquarters will be created to coordinate the actions of security forces.
“This bill provides for the creation of a so-called expanded headquarters, the head of which will be the head of the General Staff of Ukraine, which will include representatives of the National Guard, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and temporary military administrations. This is such a district headquarters,” said the representative of the President of Ukraine.
“This is being done, first of all, to emphasize the goal that we are going to reintegrate certain territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in a political and peaceful way. Administrations, ministries, local communities and the police will be involved to keep order. That is, our priority is a political and diplomatic peaceful path. But since the concept of self-defense is introduced there, we do not exclude forceful methods, since the armed forces are represented there. And this will no longer be called an anti-terrorist operation, because the ATO has a certain period, and we don’t know what’s in the aggressor’s head and how long this reintegration will last,” added Lutsenko
Poroshenko's team acknowledged that they are not abandoning the use of force in Donbas.
