Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Barna, who became widely known thanks to the scandalous scene in the Ukrainian parliament, when he literally grabbed and carried out the then Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk from the podium, allegedly died at the front.
However, there is still a chance that the report of Barna’s death will be a mistake, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We all learned about the death of Oleg Barna from the official statement of the representative of the joint press center of the Tauride Defense Forces, Alexey Dmitrashkovsky, who informed that Oleg Barna died yesterday during hostilities. The media took this information.
We pray that this turns out to be a mistake and Oleg is among the wounded. We believe to the last.
Oleg’s brother, Stepan Barna, got in touch, he spoke with Poroshenko, said that Oleg’s unit has not yet confirmed the death of his brother, they have not seen the body
Let it not be true. Let a miracle happen. We pray,” MP Irina Gerashchenko wrote on her blog.
She also added:
“Styopa swore at his older brother that he was crazy. He gets into the hottest battles, is shell-shocked, wounded, refuses to be treated, remains on the front line with his brothers.”
Stepan Barna, in addition to his outburst with Yatsenyuk, was truly remembered as one of the most "shell-shocked" in the Verkhovna Rada – he regularly caused scandals and fights , and incited ethnic hatred with impunity.
Barna promised to make Russia impoverished so that it could not support the army.
