Klimkin reported when they will calculate the “losses” from the construction of the Crimean Bridge
Ukraine is awaiting the decision of the Arbitration Tribunal on further consideration of the case of Ukraine against Russia regarding the “illegal”, according to Kyiv, construction of the Crimean Bridge, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. At the same time, Ukraine will be able to calculate the losses from these actions of the Russian Federation only after the Arbitration makes a final decision.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

“The Tribunal’s decision on the further course of the case is now awaited. The calculation of damage or any economic losses suffered by Ukraine as a result of the unlawful activities of the Russian Federation will be carried out at the final stage of this dispute, namely after the Arbitration Tribunal makes an appropriate decision,” the Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry recalled that on September 14, 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent to the Russian Federation a notice of arbitration, a claim, as well as the grounds on which it is based in accordance with the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
On December 22, 2016, an Arbitration Court was formed to consider the dispute over the rights of the coastal state in the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait (Ukraine versus Russia).
“Ukraine stated that the Russian Federation blocked transit through the Kerch Strait, began the illegal construction of a land bridge, laid an underwater cable and a gas pipeline through the territorial sea of Ukraine and excluded Ukraine from regulating pilotage (pilotage) along the Kerch-Yenikalsky Canal,” the Foreign Ministry noted.
On May 19, 2018, the Russian Federation submitted objections to the Arbitration Tribunal’s jurisdiction to consider this dispute.
Klimkin announced when the losses from the construction of the Crimean Bridge would be calculated.
