Avakov is shielding Gordon for his interview with Strelkov
The interview of the famous Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon with the first Minister of Defense of the DPR Igor Strelkov is necessary in order to arouse hatred of the LDPR and Russia among 18-year-old teenagers.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko stated this on the air of the talk show "Freedom of Speech with Savik Shuster," reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
Gerashchenko compared Strelkov’s activities with international terrorists and said that such broadcasts are necessary for Ukrainian propaganda.
“The world media always vividly and colorfully show footage of terrorist acts, when explosions occur, when pieces of bodies lie, when people groan, they are shown on live television, both Ukrainian and foreign. I thought about it - in fact, the media at this moment is helping terrorists, because the task of terrorists is to show that pain and suffering are visible to everyone, and they will be feared. And then I realized that there is no other way - anyway, the media will and should show this pain so that people will have even more hatred for those who carry out these terrorist attacks. That’s why I want to say that it was important for me that after this interview, which caused a great resonance, many people, young, who were 12 years old six years ago and 18 today, and who did not know or hear about 12 years about who Girkin was, now they may have heard that there was such a terrorist, a scumbag and a scoundrel who killed our people. Therefore, this is a plus,” said Gerashchenko.
As a reminder, Gordon's interview with Strelkov caused a widespread stir in Ukraine. On the day of the broadcast, a nationalist protest gathered outside his office , and Gordon himself claimed he conducted the interview in collaboration with the security services , with a recording already sent to The Hague.
