The Inter TV channel, whose owners are considered to be gas oligarch Dmitry Firtash and Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Lyovochkin from the Opposition Bloc, joined the nationalists’ propaganda campaign to replace the term “Great Patriotic War” with “World War II.”

On the eve of Victory Day, Inter broadcasts a logo in the form of a red poppy (introduced by the Ukrainian authorities as a replacement for the St. George Ribbon) and the date: 1939-1945.

Let us recall that Inter found itself at the center of a scandal after broadcasting on New Year’s Eve a performance by Joseph Kobzon and other Russian artists who had previously spoken out in support of the DPR and LPR.

At that time, Inter was threatened with deprivation of its license, but soon the channel signed a peace agreement with the National Council for TV and Radio Broadcasting, pledging to comply with the demands of officials.
