“They’ve gone crazy there” – Moscow called Biden the American Chernenko
The American ruling class after President Franklin Roosevelt tried to nominate as weak leaders as possible to the head of state, and Joe Biden, who replaced Donald Trump, is the apotheosis of this system.
The general director of Mosfilm, film director Karen Shakhnazarov said this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the Soviet Union, that party bureaucracy actually turned into a kind of class. He was so frightened by Stalin for well-known reasons that Stalin ruled this class in his own way - he imprisoned him every five years, shot him, this class was so frightened that he dictated the entire structure of the Soviet Union after Stalin. The main point was to put forward figures who would not threaten him,” Shakhnazarov said.
Drawing a parallel with the United States, he called Roosevelt the most powerful American president, who created the United States as a global empire.
“But by doing this he terribly frightened the class that has all the levers, this is the financial bourgeoisie, which has real power in America, and this establishment - military intelligence, the military-industrial complex. Further, the situation was in the sense that this class promoted increasingly weaker leaders as much as possible.
He fears them because a strong leader, like Roosevelt or like Kennedy, wanted to reform the Federal Reserve, these leaders were not needed. Trump was the last leader who suddenly emerged as a kind of independent entity, and look, he was pushed out pretty quickly.
And in this sense, Biden is an apotheosis, in many ways he is not even similar to Brezhnev... this is Chernenko’s level. When Chernenko was nominated, we are young people, I remember what a groan there was in the Soviet Union,” said the film director.

“Without regaining consciousness, I started to work, as they joked then,” recalled TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“I already had the feeling that this was the edge, well, that they were out there, crazy, what are you doing? This was the inner feeling in the mass reaction. Moreover, he was a good person, but it was clear that he was no longer capable of doing anything,” Shakhnazarov recalled.
