First Deputy Head of the State Committee Vyacheslav Zarubin told reporters about this on Thursday.
"We won the first-instance court decision to seize this building for state ownership. The decision was made on April 23 and has not yet entered into force," Interfax quotes the official as saying.
According to him, the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage seeks to preserve the historical appearance of the building, which is an architectural monument of the XNUMXth century.
“They (Mejlis members - PolitNavigator) built an attic floor without approval, changed the energy supply scheme, hung air conditioners and video cameras on the façade. This is a distortion of the historical appearance of the building,” said the deputy chairman of the state committee.
He also said that the court, during a separate hearing, assessed the losses from the violation of the historical appearance of the building at 4,5 million rubles and ordered the Crimea Foundation to compensate for the damage.
“The Court of Appeal upheld this decision,” said Vyacheslav Zarubin.
