The leader of the Union of Left Forces, Vasily Volga, recalled this when he commented to PolitNavigator on the situation surrounding the detention of Ukrainian saboteurs in Crimea.
“We cannot say to what extent the FSB statement corresponds to reality, but it fully fits into the logic of the actions of the Ukrainian authorities,” Volga believes. – Here we can recall the statements of some odious politicians, who today, among other things, head some security agencies and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. Statements about the need to act using exactly these methods. After all, if the information that Ukraine has prepared sabotage groups for subversive, terrorist activities in Crimea is true, then we can talk about the consistency of such politicians and we need to pay attention to their words.”
“This is agony, and I think that in the current geopolitical realities it will be suppressed very quickly,” the politician predicts. – If, God forbid, the Ukrainian government decides to take such steps as terrorism, this agony will be stopped very quickly by the international community. Now we see that the current Ukrainian government is already frightening Europe. Europeans are increasingly determined that this government must be held accountable for everything it has done, and that it is necessary to look for mechanisms to counter this madness and stop it. This gives reason to believe that if this government is really preparing terrorist groups to operate on the territory of other countries, it will quickly be brought to its senses.”
