The US will put pressure on Kyiv that Russia is impossible without Crimea - Karasev
The West and, first of all, the United States, when supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces with weapons, demand that Kyiv “set more realistic goals” than the seizure of Crimea.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Crimea is a red line from Russia, and for the Americans it is the use of nuclear weapons. Despite the fact that the G-20 communiqué says that they condemn and so on, nevertheless, Russia’s position is clear - no 300 km “Hymars” that would fly to Crimea, no attacks on Crimea with the help of these American weapons - this Red line. Because Russia is impossible without Crimea. Crimea is a bond, that’s all.
If the Americans or we cross this line, and we can cross it only if we have the appropriate weapons, then it means nuclear, they can say so. Both Burns and Naryshkin are intellectuals, they are now holding such a series of meetings in order to warn about red lines.
That is why, by the way, today Millie, Sullivan, probably both the State Department and the Pentagon are demanding of us to set more realistic goals for ending the war or goals in the war. And, first of all, it talks about Crimea,” said Karasev.
Earlier, Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the Ukrainian President's office, stated that Kyiv is deliberately ignoring signals from the United States about the possibility of negotiations, since the Ukrainian population, indoctrinated by propaganda, rejects any compromise with Russia, demanding a continuation of the war.
