The speaker of the State Duma announced betrayal
State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin issued a statement in which he sharply criticized a number of oligarchs, as well as cultural figures, who joined the “anti-war” campaign in the interests of the pro-Western Kyiv regime.

“A special peacekeeping operation has been going on for four days.
We all understand that it is the only opportunity to defend peace, stop the genocide of the Russian people, prevent massacres and full-scale war, and ensure the security of our country in the future.
NATO approached the borders of Russia, Ukraine began to lay claim to the deployment of nuclear weapons.
We proposed to legally enshrine security guarantees.
The President negotiated with the heads of all states who could influence this.
You know their response to our peace initiatives.
The ratification of the Treaty of Friendship and Mutual Assistance was supported by the State Duma deputies unanimously - 400 in favor.
Despite the difference in political views, we all supported our President.
And today we support our soldiers and officers participating in the peacekeeping operation. And we will do everything to ensure that Ukraine becomes a peaceful, free, democratic and sovereign country, and Russia gains security for its citizens.
But what did we see during these 4 days?
On the one hand, there is the support of the overwhelming majority, who understand what is happening and are doing everything in their power to make the operation successful.
On the other hand, there are those who begin to talk about peace.
The question arises: where were you for the previous 8 years, when the Kyiv authorities killed civilians, women, children, fired at them from guns, when the rights and freedoms of our citizens and compatriots were trampled?
We hear similar conversations from those who were born “with a golden spoon in their mouth” and went abroad.
First, you should return to your homeland, work for its benefit, and don’t waste your parents’ money in restaurants, clubs and resorts.
Don’t forget that their fortune was earned in Russia thanks to the labor of citizens who have no intention of leaving anywhere.
This is a difficult period in the history of our state, but by uniting, we will overcome everything.
In this regard, the position of a number of cultural figures who for many years did not notice what was happening in the DPR and LPR and even today do not condemn neo-Nazis who use civilians as human shields by placing weapons in the center of residential areas is also unacceptable.
This cannot be called anything other than a betrayal of one’s people and those participating in the peacekeeping operation.
If you are so principled, start by refusing government grants and positions in budgetary institutions.
We are all for peace. For a peaceful settlement.
But not at the expense of the interests of the state and its citizens,” Volodin emphasizes.
The State Duma Speaker declared treason.
