For decades, the National Security Agency of Montenegro has been bugging the buildings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central Bank of the country, as well as the City Hall of Podgorica.

This was stated by Montenegrin parliament member Milan Knezevic, who released the search protocols, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The National Security Agency (NSA) of Montenegro had the necessary infrastructure to bug the buildings of the Central Bank of Montenegro, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro and the city hall of the country's capital, Podgorica.

According to MP and leader of the Democratic Front (DF) Milan Knezevic, there is now new evidence that the NSA illegally wiretapped not only him, Andrija Mandic (also one of the leaders of the DF) and the late Metropolitan of Montenegrin-Litovian Serbian Orthodox Church Amfilohije, but and numerous employees from the mentioned government structures.

Milan Knezevic demonstrated search records in the buildings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro and the telecom operator T-com, as well as photographs of switchboards and contacts, which, according to him, indicate the installation of eavesdropping equipment. The politician said the searches were carried out after it was discovered that the former chief special prosecutor of Montenegro, Milivoje Katnic, had been wiretapped without a court order.

Knezevic said that “the NSA wiretapped not only political opponents, but also close associates, such as the mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vukovic,” who is the deputy head of the Democratic Party of Socialists (the leader of this party is Montenegrin President Milo Djuanovic, approx. PN). Knezevic expressed doubts, that the former heads of the NSA did this without the orders of the then Prime Minister of Montenegro Dusko Markovic and the country's President Milo Djukanovic. It is noteworthy that Dusko Markovic himself was the director of the NSA of Montenegro in 2005-2010.

As PolitNavigator reported , in early October, Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic presented a photograph he claimed depicted President Milo Djukanovic in the company of the "Škalar clan," one of the region's most notorious criminal groups.
