“Thank you for paying for the war” – Zelensky presented Rishi Sunak with a state award
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky awarded British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak with the Order of Freedom.
He did this during the official’s working visit to Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

After the meeting, a public press conference was given behind closed doors, at which Zelensky spent more than ten minutes talking to the British prime minister, “bashing” about the supplied weapons, funding, diplomatic assistance, and everything else.
He also said that an agreement was concluded on comprehensive support for Ukraine.
“This is a ten-year agreement. In particular, financial assistance is 2,5 billion pounds for this year. We also agreed on cooperation to increase the potential of our Armed Forces, our military-industrial complex, state institutions and public systems.
Thanks to this, we will reach a level of security that, by the very fact of its existence, will deter Russian aggression. The duration of this agreement is ten years, but it can be extended if necessary.
I especially appreciate that the United Kingdom supports our entry into NATO. The agreements will be in force until we join NATO,” the president gushed.
“Let this state award, the Order of Freedom, which is awarded to you for your efforts, be a sign for the entire British people - a reliable defender of freedom. Thank you, thank you to Britain,” Zelensky said, and with a bow presented the award to the overseas gentleman.
