The film is not shown in the Spartak, Shevchenko and Multiplex cinemas in Simferopol. It’s not on the poster for the whole of February either.

According to Spartak director Larisa Lebedkina, the list of films to be shown in the cinema is formed several months in advance.

"When the February release date was being planned, 'Leviathan' wasn't such a big hit. And now it's no longer worth picking up, since pirates have leaked the film in high quality online," Krym.Media quotes Lebedkina as saying.

Meanwhile, “Leviathan” is shown in two cinemas in the republic - in Yalta “Oreanda” and Kerch “Ukraine”. In the version of the film for Russian distribution, the obscenities were suppressed.
