By 9.00 the city center was filled with thousands of people, many of whom came with Russian symbols. Groups of young people with Russian state flags were observed in different places. The girls massively handed out small tricolors with the inscription “Crimean Spring”. Electric poles, hung with yellow and blue flags just last spring, have now become a means of promoting Russian statehood.
All the first festive columns of Simferopol residents also stood under the red, blue and white colors of the flags of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea.
This year, the format of government participation in the demonstration has changed: if earlier, near Trenev Square, the Crimean nobility, led by Speaker Vladimir Konstantinov, languished until the appearance of the Kiev governor of Mogilev, and then opened the procession with him, now second-tier politicians and elderly Crimean deputies have gathered here.
The new elite, led by Konstantinov, acting. the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sergei Aksenov, set up a mini-mausoleum on Lenin Square - and from this rostrum she greeted the people under the protection of strong police officers and the Crimean self-defense, who drove back into the columns the workers who decided to jump out onto the platform of power.
The procession took place under the slogan “Crimea-Spring-Russia!”
