Sevastopol will become interesting to Syria after the commissioning of the second branch of the Crimean Bridge
The Sevastopol port can establish a shipping connection with the Syrian Tartus within the framework of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This is a city with good quay walls. We can get good, inexpensive fruit from Syria. Even Türkiye buys and repackages from them. We can send there grain, bulk cargo, and construction materials, which are urgently needed for the Syrian economy. Taking into account the commissioning of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge, this is quite realistic,” Belik said.
Of the 13 national projects operating in the Russian Federation, Sevastopol participates in three. The city was allocated 6,3 billion rubles for the Demography project, and 5,9 billion rubles for the Healthcare project.
“On April 2019, XNUMX, national projects will be finalized; the task of the regional authorities is to ensure that we participate in several more national projects. I believe that we can and should participate in the national project “Education”, because the construction of dormitories for students is a serious problem for us,” Belik said.
