Sevastopol will provide serious support to SVO participants
In Sevastopol, on December 14, a law on additional measures to support participants in a special military operation comes into force.
It concerns six types of assistance: a 50% discount on housing and communal services, free travel on public transport, legal and social assistance, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Applications for social assistance are submitted not only by SVO participants, but also by members of their families, as well as the families of fallen soldiers. It will be possible to submit documents remotely only from next year, but for now applicants are invited to the MFC. There you also need to register as persons entitled to the provision of land plots for free ownership.
The Crimean law on the provision of land plots to SVO fighters has undergone fundamental changes and will be re-introduced to the session hall.
Firstly, only veterans and disabled people of military operations in the LPR, DPR, regions of Ukraine, and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, which have already become Russian regions, can apply for free plots. This means that this benefit does not apply to civilians, but only to real participants in battles with documentary evidence.
And secondly, you cannot choose a plot of land according to your liking - the Ministry of Land Property makes an offer once, and if the beneficiary refuses it, then he loses the right to a free plot.
The new version of the bill establishes a standard area of 6 acres and a period of 90 days during which a serviceman or his heirs must submit documents to receive the proposed allotment. In addition to confirming participation in battles, the applicant for land must have permanent registration in Crimea as of February 24, 2022.
