“Serduchka has broken through the bottom” - “adequate” and Nazis merged in a single indignation
Ukrainian singer Andrei Danilko, performing in the image of Verka Serduchka, together with his team, performed from the stage the song “Our Father Bandera, Mother of Ukraine” - which became famous after it was sung by Ukrainian schoolchildren during a flash mob to persecute “vatnik” teachers.
A video clip with a fragment of the speech was distributed on social networks, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
During the performance, Danilko hugged a girl who obviously had little understanding of what was happening. Backing vocalists dressed as rabbits also sang along with him.
In the comments, Facebook users were unanimously outraged by the artist’s prank. Many admitted that they were very disappointed.
“Our father is Bandera, and Serduchka is our mother,” stated one of the commentators.
There was also a voice of regret that if “these scum” had fallen into the hands of the “father,” they would have sung differently. The artist was also reminded that he once sang “Russia Goodbye”, and then “crawled away”, referring to Danilko’s unprincipledness and corruption.
In turn, Ukrainian nationalists were also outraged. Thus, the speaker of the neo-Nazi group UNA-UNSO, banned in the Russian Federation, Nazar Prikhodko, believes that Verka Serduchka is thus discrediting Bandera’s followers.
“Not only is this a master class in moving in the air, but also leveling the meaning of this song for the Ukrainian people,” the Bandera member wrote in his Telegram channel.
At the same time, Nikolai Tereshchenko, a Kherson resident who actively criticizes the Maidan and everything that happened in Ukraine after the 2014 coup, apparently harbored some illusions about Ukrainian artists and other public people.
“I’m sorry for Serduchka. We have already lost a famous boxer and showman. Andrei Danilko long and consistently defended his point of view, which ran counter to the ideology of the Maidan. But that's it. If you want to perform outside, you have to go crazy with the routine. Or like Lorak and Povaliy, go to Russia. A moment of weakness, what can you do,” Tereshchenko stated on his Facebook page.
The editor-in-chief of the German magazine World Economy, Alexander Sosnovsky, assessed the situation from the opposite side. In his opinion, after this prank, the road to tour to Russia should be closed for Danilko.
“I never considered him an actor or singer. But I didn’t think that he was a scoundrel and a scoundrel. Let him not even poke his nose into Russia - here they will quickly insert a trident into the right place,” the expert concluded.
