Serbia will not cancel the agreement with the Eurasian Union at the request of the West
Serbia does not intend to cancel the free trade agreement it signed with the Eurasian Union, despite criticism from the West , which stated that the new agreement could contradict Belgrade's course toward European integration.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced this today at a press conference in Sochi, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Russia respects our sovereignty and our ability to make decisions independently. Serbia is on the European path, but it has also signed trade agreements with the Eurasian Economic Union. We will not reduce the volume of cooperation with Russia. Moreover, we will not allow anyone to interfere in our relations with the Russian Federation,” Vucic said.
He promised to “cherish our friendship and defend our brotherhood.”
“No one can take this away from us, despite all attempts. When representatives of other countries tell me: what is wrong with this Russia, I always answer that it is a great honor for me that such a leader as Putin finds time for me. This means that we are respected more than you and we will see each other even more often. We will continue our cooperation with Russia, no matter what anyone says,” Vucic said.

“This is a great honor for us as a nation that was part of the anti-Hitler coalition and that does not want to allow history to be rewritten today ,” Vučić said.
