Sentsov will not ask Putin for pardon - Deputy Speaker of the Rada
Oleg Sentsov, convicted on charges of preparing a terrorist attack in Crimea, will not ask the Russian president for a pardon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Iryna Gerashchenko announced this on her Facebook page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
She also suggested that Putin's press secretary approach the Russian president with such a request.
“Putin’s press secretary Peskov states that Sentsov “must take care of his pardon himself,” hinting that Oleg should approach the Russian president with such a request. It is obvious that Sentsov will not turn to Putin, and this is what the Russian authorities are counting on.

In addition, Irina Gerashchenko once again stated that the Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova is not allowed to see Sentsov and other prisoners in Russia with Ukrainian citizenship.
“And I express my indignation at the breakdown of agreements on the visit of the Ukrainian ombudswoman L. Denisova to the Ukrainian hostages. Lyudmila is not allowed to see Sentsov, Kolchenko, Sushchenko, Karpyuk, and our other prisoners, despite agreements at the highest level. Just so you understand, this is exactly how the release of hostages was disrupted several times. When everything seemed to be discussed and agreed, we decided on a list and an approximate date.
