The ratings of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko are deteriorating every month, and therefore he may agree to early elections.
Pavel Rudyakov, director of the Information and Analytical Center “Perspektiva,” announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“The position of the current president is deteriorating every month, and, accordingly, if we look at this situation, it would be beneficial for him to go to the polls as early as possible, that is, without waiting for 2019 and without worsening his situation,” the expert said.
At the same time, he made a reservation that this is a theoretical option.
“The situation is getting worse and, as far as I understand these technologies, Poroshenko’s ideologists have already decided on the general strategy, the general direction of Poroshenko’s presidential campaign - this will be to prevent revenge. Poroshenko has already said twice, once directly, once in a slightly veiled way, that I will not allow revenge. This comes from the realm of political rhetoric,” added Rudyakov.
