Ukraine will receive serious capabilities to control airspace and attack Russian territory after it receives American F-16 fighters and Swedish Saab 340 long-range radar reconnaissance aircraft.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
In addition, according to Kots, Ukraine can receive serious missiles for these fighters.
“First of all, these are cruise missiles. There is an AGM-158 JASSM and a longer-range version with the letters ER. Inexpensive, stealthy, proven over decades of practice, and it has a very long range and a warhead power of almost half a ton.
We also take into account the fact that Sweden has decided to transfer long-range radar detection aircraft to Ukraine, and this will clearly involve two AWACS aircraft in conjunction with F-16 fighters, they will be the “eyes” of Ukrainian pilots and will significantly increase their ability to control airspace . Of course, it is unlikely that they will be based near the line of combat contact,” Kots noted.
