From April 4 in Ukraine they will check the quality of products and fine them in a new way
On April 4, a new system of quality control and food safety will begin operating in Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is reported on the Government portal.
As noted, we are talking about the entry into force of the law “On state control over compliance with legislation on food products, feed, animal by-products, animal health and welfare.”
The message notes that enterprises will be inspected depending on the degree of risk to people’s life and health. For example, there are fewer risks in a store that sells shelf-stable packaged products than in a store that sells fresh meat.
Also, according to the new law, inspectors of the State Consumer Service will carry out inspections in accordance with the inspection report. This document must contain comprehensive information about the number of questions to be verified and must be public.
For violation of the new rules, penalties of up to 70 thousand UAH are provided, depending on the offense.
If factors posing a threat to human life and health are discovered, the inspector will be able to temporarily suspend the production and circulation of products or feed.
