The Russians could go west from Donetsk, there was no one to stop them - Kyiv media
Kyiv, November 09 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) - Ukrainian media admit that Russian units, according to official Kyiv, taking part in the conflict in the east, if necessary, would go beyond the Donbass without any problems.

The weekly “Ukrainian Week” writes about this, in particular, in a publication dedicated to the defeat near Ilovaisk, which points out the weakness and small number of the Ilovaisk group of Ukrainian security forces.
“Thus, the Russians came to the aid of the DPR, well aware that the tiny Ukrainian group would not be able to provide them with a worthy rebuff,” the publication notes. – This suggests the conclusion that the Russian units had only one task: to help the “DPR” defeat the Ilovaisk group. If they wanted to move further east and go beyond the Donetsk region, they would have done so because there was no one to stop them.”
The magazine emphasizes that it is difficult to say at all who and where could stop the joint offensive of Russian units and subunits of the DPR.
“It is possible that this is precisely the fact that some of our strategists are trying to “classify”,” suggests Ukrainian Week. “The paradox is that it is “secret” only for Ukrainian citizens, but not for the military leaders of Russia.”
As PolitNavigator reported, ex-Minister of Defense of Ukraine Valeriy Geletey assured that near Ilovaisk “Ukrainian troops managed to stop Putin,” and the NATO leadership, in a conversation with the minister, admired the actions of the Ukrainian army.
