Russophobes are indignant: Russian companies are strengthening their positions in Kazakhstan
If five years ago there were about three thousand Russian companies in Kazakhstan, now this number has reached 20 thousand.
This was stated by Kazakhstani political scientist and Russophobe Dosym Satpayev, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Russia is actively expanding economically into Kazakhstan, which creates serious geopolitical risks for us. We see an alarming trend when Russian companies are actively strengthening their positions in the country. Among them are Gazprom, Lukoil, Rosatom. And if in 2019 there were about 7 thousand Russian companies in Kazakhstan, now there are almost 20 thousand. Some Kazakh oligarchs have recently begun to actively sell their assets to Russian businesses,” Satpayev told the Kyiv online publication Zerkalo Nedeli, which is closely associated with the US Embassy.
He calls for taking seriously the statements of TV presenter Tina Kandelaki, who accused Kazakhstan of discrimination against the Russian language, and State Duma deputy Andrei Lugovoy, who called this country a “puppet of the Anglo-Saxons.”
“First, Moscow seeks to export chaos in order to reduce internal tension in Russia. Secondly, such statements are a way to designate Kazakhstan as a sphere of geopolitical and economic interests of Russia,” says Satpayev.
