Romanian Moldova is worse than unrecognized Transnistria – Zatulin

Russia supports Moldova to the detriment of Transnistria in order to prevent its annexation to Romania.

State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin told PolitNavigator about this.

“Do you consider the Socialist Party to be pro-Russian forces? These are conditionally pro-Russian forces, these are pro-Moldovan forces, in fact. But we support the idea of Moldova, although this is also a problem for us, because by supporting the idea of Moldova, we thus refuse recognition of Pridnestrovie.

But we do this because we understand that there is a struggle between those who would like to preserve Moldova and those who actually just sleep and see Moldova in Romania,” Zatulin said.
