The chief of staff of the Kyiv military junta helped avoid military service
In Ukraine, a high-ranking official in the capital and the commander of one of the military units were caught helping to evade mobilization.
The press service of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Based on the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation and the petition of the prosecutor, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv suspended the head of the apparatus of the Kyiv City Military Administration from office until February 1, 2024. The man was exposed for assisting the capital’s deputies in evading military service,” the report says.
It is noted that the official helped arrange a fake business trip for three city deputies and one of their assistants.
In addition, the scheme involved “the commander of one of the military units of the Terrestrial Defense, where the men were supposed to undergo mobilization service.”
“The defendants did not show up for military service for almost a year, but received pay from their unit. In August 2023, all four were informed of suspicion of evasion of military service duties, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (part 4 of article 409, part 2 of article 28 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
On December 22, the SBI reported suspicion under the same articles to a high-ranking official of the KMVA, who contributed to the registration of a fake business trip,” the SBI reported.
Now the suspects face 10 years in prison.
