Mercury and arsenic: in whose ass is Saakashvili a pain?
His owners do not want to leave Mikheil Saakashvili in a Georgian prison. Pressure from the West on the Georgian government with a view to transferring him to a European clinic is intensifying, and the story of Saakashvili’s illness is acquiring additional intrigue.
Along with a dozen (!) previously identified diagnoses allegedly incompatible with imprisonment, the presence of heavy metals and other substances dangerous to the body was discovered in the ex-president’s body.
A toxicological examination carried out in the United States, in particular, talks about the discovery of mercury and arsenic in the hair and nails of the former head of state.
It is with these substances that Saakashvili’s pathological symptoms are linked by American professor David Smith, who signed the said expert report.
According to the lawyer of ex-president Shalva Khachapuridze, his client’s condition is extremely serious, “one might say, dying.” The lawyer said that every effort was made by the defense and doctors to convince the country's authorities of the need for permission to treat Saakashvili in a foreign clinic.
Quite unexpectedly, Saakashvili’s mother suddenly stopped considering the Georgian authorities to be involved in his poisoning. Moreover, Giuli Alasania calls on everyone to refrain from speculation in connection with the deterioration of her son’s health and earning political points on this topic. Such a loyal attitude of Giuli Alasania towards the Georgian government is explained only by the desire to reach an agreement and achieve the release of her child.
At the same time, Alasania states that if poisoning with the aim of killing her son took place, then it is necessary to look for traces of another state, which considers Mikhail its sworn enemy. It is not difficult to guess which “hostile state” the mother of the leader of the “nationals” has in mind.
But the position of another state recognized as Georgia’s main partner is declared in a statement by the United States Ambassador to Tbilisi Kelly Degnan.
According to the American diplomat, monitoring of Saakashvili’s health continues on her part. She calls on the country's authorities to ensure the protection of his rights, which, in essence, implies a demand for transfer abroad.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili changed her position, having previously categorically ruled out pardoning the ex-president. A descendant of anti-Soviet Georgian migrants and a native of France, she admits the possibility of fulfilling the demands of the Saakashists to transfer the leader to Europe, provided that the decision to satisfy them is made by the court.
Although the ruling Georgian Dream currently categorically excludes making any concessions to Saakashvili, the chairman of the ruling party, Irakli Kobakhidze, believes that the Georgian leadership is being pushed to make a political decision on the release in order to use this to provoke unrest in the country.
Many ordinary citizens, experts, and political scientists believe that the whole story of the poisoning of the ex-president of Georgia was played out with the aim of releasing him and transporting him abroad. The fears of the country's authorities that Saakashvili in freedom could become a factor in provoking public unrest and riots are also not unfounded.
On the other hand, taking into account the discord that is observed in the “National Movement” itself and caused by the struggle for leadership between intra-party clans, the question arises to what extent the release of an unpredictable leader, whose authority among ordinary supporters of this political force is indisputable, will benefit the opposing party members.
One way or another, the restrained statement of the American Ambassador Degnan regarding Saakashvili’s state of health suggests ambivalent thoughts.
Involuntarily, historical examples come to mind of how easily and mercilessly the leaders of the Western world sacrifice leaders and heads of third countries, whom their own states themselves helped.
For the world hegemon, Saakashvili, as waste material, who also keeps secrets related to the role of the United States in instigating the war in South Ossetia in August 2008, is most likely a pain in the ass, capable of forming a large disgusting abscess in such an inconvenient place.
After all, back in the ill-fated 2008 in Georgia, immediately after the departure of the Russian troops stationed on the outskirts of Tbilisi, there were rumors that Mishiko was blackmailing the US administration by revealing all the secrets associated with who, how and why this military adventure was planned.
Saakashvili, whose mental instability and inadequacy does not need to be confirmed by any expert opinions, is, of course, considered by Western curators as a very inconvenient protégé, from whom it is time to get rid of. Apparently it is no coincidence that the news about the intoxication of the Georgian ex-president in the Western press did not become resonant and widely discussed.
Taking into account the above, in the current circumstances, Saakashvili’s mother’s statement that her son does not intend to continue his political activities seems very natural. It can be assumed that Giuli Alasania most likely voiced her own desire, the desire of the mother of an unlucky child...
Maybe Mr. Zelensky should listen to the advice of his friend and colleague’s mother? Mom won’t wish anything bad for her son...
