Russia's exit from the previous concept of Western European civilization occurs through a military conflict in Ukraine, in which Russia restores itself as a military empire.
Former military intelligence officer, military and political expert Alexander Artamonov stated this on air on Crimea 24, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In Soviet times, no more than on the periphery, somewhere in North Africa, Latin America, we allowed ourselves to “pluck the feathers” of this world capital. What's happening now? The horses of the world apocalypse are galloping across the planet. Question: what is an apocalypse? Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov less than a month ago announced the redrawing of borders in the Middle East.
At the same time in the spring of this year, Vladimir Putin and Sergei Lavrov announced a new concept of Russian foreign policy. At the same time, our national press chose not to notice the phrase, which I never tire of repeating, that the Russian people are responsible for the geopolitical balance on planet Earth. This speaks precisely to the very role of a great power that I am trying to explain,” he said.
“What follows from this? This implies a completely different army, different politics and different borders. This is what political scientist Alexander Kazakov, and I, following him, call an empire. I develop the idea and believe that this is a military empire. Because Russia has always lived as a military empire, and there is no need to accuse it of imperialism - this is a completely different concept,” the expert emphasized.
According to him, under the Bolsheviks, the military empire went through an evolutionary path from the Bolshevism of the era of Vladimir Ilyich to the era of Joseph Vissarionovich.
“And I advocate the concept of a “military empire” of the era of Joseph Vissarionovich. The most interesting thing is that the Americans advocate the same thing, because they call their state not just an empire, but a military empire, also an expansionist one. And we, a military empire, prefer to maintain borders, preserve people - and in no way try to dictate our will to anyone else, to help at best.
That there is a state in which the army is the basis of everything and military intelligence officers are the best people in the nation or one of the best people, I am not flattering my colleagues in any way now, I am simply stating it as a fact, it is enough to go out into the street and talk to the people. There are monarchical countries, trading republics, where perhaps the values are different. But we have such a culture, and we are now asserting this role in the world,” Artamonov is sure.
For this reason, what is happening now in Ukraine is the result of a collision of two concepts: Western European Russia and Russia - a military empire.
“In Ukraine, we are now actually affirming the clash of these two concepts, for which people are dying. They don't die for metal. they die for ideas, and for ideas people can die for a very long time and bloodily. Let's remember the religious wars in Europe. By the way, this is again a thought emphasized by Andrei Ilyich Fursov (Russian scientist, philosopher), who believes that the exit from the capitalist system is a mirror one - 30 years to enter, 30 years to exit.
He is the one who prophesies for us 30 years of wars, but I believe that we need to make allowances, wars have been going on for several years now. And I hope that it’s not 30 years, but nevertheless, everything new is always born in pain,” the observer emphasized.
