Russia creates a special prosecutor's office in Donbass
A specialized prosecutor's office for supervision of coal industry enterprises will be created in Donbass.
Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov announced this today while speaking in the Federation Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Owned equipment, the lack of modern control systems, protective equipment and the generally low level of safety in Donbass mines are of particular concern now. In such conditions, I decided to create a specialized prosecutor’s office in this region to supervise the implementation of laws in the coal industry.
Such prosecutor’s offices have been functioning for a long time in Kuzbass and Komi, demonstrating the effectiveness of a substantive approach to organizing supervision in the field of industrial safety,” Krasnov said.
