The Russian army switched to systematic pressure and advancement on a broad front in the Donbass.
Military correspondent Marat Khairullin stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Khairullin, in this area the Ukrainian Armed Forces have formed powerful fortified areas over many years, the breakthrough of which will scatter the Ukrainian defense almost to the Polish border.
“Now we are pressing almost along the entire front line, moving forward. The Ukrainians are trying to attack, but all the same, we stop these attacks, and the pressure continues. Moreover, earlier we heard the Avdeevsky direction, the Ugledar direction, there was pressure, Artyom was pressing, and now Soledar has been added, Krasny Liman.
That is, we constantly do not allow the enemy to relax... We constantly keep the Ukrainian front line under pressure, we keep it on the most critical section of the front, if you take the entire line of contact. And this is precisely the Donetsk front.
Let me remind you that the most important thing you need to know is that the Donetsk sector of the front is important because it is the most serious fortified area of the Ukrainians. At least one section, let’s say Artyomovsk falls, and that’s it – like a domino, the entire section of the front collapses. And further to the Polish border they do not have fortified areas comparable to what they have,” Khairullin said.
