Russia lost a strategic missile carrier
A Russian Tu-22 strategic bomber crashed in the Stavropol Territory.
The region's governor, Vladimir Vladimirov, announced this, the correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

“A plane crashed in a field in the Krasnogvardeisky district. There were no casualties or damage, the pilots were able to eject. At the moment, the information is being clarified,” Vladimirov wrote in his tg channel.
The information was confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“The plane that crashed in the Stavropol Territory was a long-range missile carrier-bomber Tu-22M3; it was returning to the airfield after completing a combat mission,” the Russian defense department said.
Three crew members have been found and a fourth is being sought. It is noted that the cause of the accident could have been a technical malfunction.

But in Ukraine they immediately recorded Russia’s loss of the plane as an asset. RBC-Ukraine, citing its source in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, claims that the destruction of the Tu-22MZ is an operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the air defense forces.
“This is the first strategic aircraft that Ukraine managed to destroy during a flight. He attacked Ukraine,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
