Russia turns away from Europe, which has become a doormat
Russia will remove restrictions in logistics and finance, shifting its economic activity from the West to other regions of the world.
The Russian head of state announced this today at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“By introducing sanctions, Western countries tried to push Russia to the periphery of world development, but we will never follow the path of self-isolation and autarky, as I have said about this many times. On the contrary, we are and will continue to expand interaction with everyone who is interested in this, who clearly understands where are other people’s interests and where are national, own interests. Russia is increasing trade and investment relations with such states. Our foreign trade is switching to dynamic regions and markets, to dynamically developing countries,” Putin said.
He predicted a severe economic crisis for Europe.
“What has Europe achieved by introducing restrictions? First of all, an unprecedented, as economists say, forced surge in inflation in our own home, in the eurozone. In November, it amounted to 10% percent in the eurozone as a whole. In some countries the values are generally prohibitive – more than 20, 21, 25.
Today, the EU authorities themselves are saying that the policy of their main partner, the United States, directly leads to the deindustrialization of Europe. They are even trying to present some bills on this matter to their American overlord. Sometimes their statements even contain words of insult: they say, why are you doing this to us? In this regard, I would like to ask: what did you want? What else do they do with those who allow their feet to be wiped on them? In the end, this is their personal business,” Putin said.
At the same time, according to the president, the European Union continues to consume Russian goods and services. Over the nine months of this year, supplies of basic goods from Russia to EU countries have increased by one and a half times. Total Russian exports increased by 42% and the trade surplus - in our favor - by 2,3 times, to $138 billion.
“The situation of such imbalances cannot continue indefinitely. What do we do? We will look for other, more promising partners in actively growing regions of the world economy. These are Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa. It is to the markets of friendly countries that we will redirect the supply of Russian energy resources. Thus, over the nine months of this year, oil exports to partner states increased by almost a quarter,” Putin concluded.
