Russia launched a preemptive strike
Russia's retaliatory sanctions against Ukraine are currently precautionary in nature.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr said this on Channel One, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When Ukraine itself shuts down its enterprises and, as a result, people lose their jobs, no one remembers this. And when the Russian Federation begins to hit financial and industrial groups that help the nationalists, [noise rises] - Boyko did this in his time, as did Kolomoisky and Pinchuk, who tried to extract shale gas. Boyko’s company is on the list,” Dmitry Abzalov, president of the Center for Strategies and Communications, said during the broadcast.
“Boiko as an individual is not on the list, Akhmetov is not, but this, apparently, is already a list of more worthy people,” the presenter commented.
“No, this is about the fact that in order to inflict really serious damage on people, as we did under sanctions, we have resources, but we are not doing this,” Abzalov noted.
Alexander Rahr called this sanctions list a preventive strike, taking into account the fact that in three weeks America is planning a very strong attack on Russia.
“The Americans are preparing very serious sanctions against Russia. Unlike the Europeans, they really want to destroy part of the branches of the Russian economy, the Europeans do not want this. Therefore, I think this is a precautionary step, that if you hurt us, we also know how to hurt you through Ukraine. Unfortunately, this is a hybrid war in which we live,” the German political scientist emphasized.
