Russia attacked Ukraine with balloons
Balloons with reflectors have been spotted in the Ukrainian sky, conducting radar reconnaissance.
This was reported by the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The enemy is using balloons. This is not a probe, not a balloon. It’s just a ball that carries a piece of metal,” Ignat said during a telethon broadcast on Ukrainian channels.
According to him. Thus, the Russians “conduct radar reconnaissance of the airspace.”
“Here we are talking about the skill of our people to distinguish a ball from a UAV, a UAV from an airplane, and so on. It is clear that no one will work on balloons with any powerful means, because it is just a balloon. This was on the 12th, and was used yesterday, and flew into the territory of other countries - we saw that Moldova was blocking the airspace. The point is, wherever the wind blows, that’s where it flies,” added the Ukrainian Armed Forces representative.
At the same time, the Kiev military correspondent of the anti-Russian propaganda channel “1+1” Andrey Tsaplienko reported:
“In the Kyiv region, explosions are heard and such traces are visible in the sky”
And the telegram channel “Kyiv Movement” clarified that in total two aerial targets were recorded in the Kyiv region, one of which was shot down.
