Reznikov: “The Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to repel a hybrid attack of migrants”
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine has already developed a mechanism for the action of all relevant structures in the event of a possible “attack by migrants” from the territory of Belarus, however, if the threat increases, Kyiv will also involve the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov stated this during a speech before the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The enemy is already using a series of non-military measures - informational, economic, energy, and so on. Its goal is to provoke internal destabilization in order to weaken our defense,” Reznikov said.
He emphasized that one of these “hybrid” threats for Kyiv is supposedly Middle Eastern refugees, whose army Moscow can send to Ukraine.
"After the de facto Anschluss [ of Belarus ], we now have an additional thousand kilometers of border that must be protected, especially in winter. We understand these risks and are preparing. Under the coordination of the National Security and Defense Council, a response mechanism for all security agencies has already been developed in the event of a possible hybrid attack by migrants from Belarus. The army will be ready to do its part if the threat level escalates," the minister concluded.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky previously stated that he had authorized the use of weapons and aircraft against migrants.
Following this, the Ukrainian army conducted military exercises on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border to repel a possible influx of illegal migrants.
