Certain circles in the Russian government are interested in the activities of oppositionist Alexei Navalny.

This opinion was expressed in an interview with Kraina magazine by the editor-in-chief of the Ekho Moskvy radio station in St. Petersburg, Vitaly Dymarsky, answering the question of how President Navalny will differ from Putin.
“If we imagine that Navalny has become the new president of the Russian Federation, then for Ukraine he will not be significantly different from Putin. Crimea will not be returned, although it may try to stop the war in Donbass. For him, the election campaign is working for his own rating. His actions are in demand by different groups. Not only by the people dissatisfied with the impoverishment, but also by the political forces in power. They are interested in making public dirt on their competitors. And the fact that you are not bringing it to Putin yourself, but someone from the outside, is even better. Prime Minister Medvedev has many enemies within the regime. Navalny’s work is a gift for them,” says Dymarsky.
As PolitNavigator reported, the latest Levada Center poll showed that Medvedev and Navalny's presidential ratings are within the margin of statistical error.
